So before I tell you about the kids' day, I need to announce the FOLK magazine giveaway winner...
She is one of my most faithful followers and leaves frequent comments, so I was happy to draw her name.

Nan from Retired in Alaska
Congratulations Nan. I will be emailing you to get your mailing address. This is the second giveaway I've done and both have been won by Alaska ladies. So much fun!
Today we took the kids for an library and community center sponsored event at the base. They did a little craft, then they gathered in the gymnasium for a book reading of Frosty the Snowman. Followed by watching the movie itself on a big blow up screen.
The kids were a big hit with everyone with their matching pajamas.
I've really grown to love the gals at the library and the community center. They truly love kids and are so caring. Not to mention that being a lover of books, I adore that these ladies make the library a fantastic place to hang out.
The kids all had a lot of fun. Well, except for Adin (at least until it was time for cookies and hot chocolate). These pictures personify his enjoyment perfectly. Ah, this kid is his Daddy's son.
Adin had baby duty since he didn't want to participate (either in the crafts, movie, book or pajamas). I think the pre-teen years are nearly here.
I can't believe Christmas is next week!! I hope you're all feeling ready. I sure am, especially here in the North Pole ♥
