I am a homeschooling Mama to 5 incredible kids. We live a simple life here in interior Alaska where we're learning to cope with the cold and relative isolation that no other place in the United States can claim.
We're both native to the Pacific Northwest and while we love it there, we believe that is exactly where God wants us right now.
I love my husband. He is an amazing father and friend. When we first married, I couldn't have imagined the path we would be led on, but I am grateful to be sharing this life with him.
We home school, cloth diaper, co-sleep, babywear, home birth and use attachment and positive parenting techniques.
I am a follower of Jesus. To raise my children to love the Lord and love their fellow man is my ultimate desire.
I greatly enjoy homekeeping and making my house into a haven for my family. As many Moms do, I struggle with balancing
my need for perfection vs. just letting my kids be kids.
My blog, Pressing On, has a little bit of this and a little bit of that, as I explore my interests and passions. It is where I vent, reflect, show off my kids and post about my home and all things to do with homekeeping. I hope you enjoy reading about my life and can find some inspiration in what I create in my home.

~Brothers,
I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I
do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead~
