Fall-ifying, part 1

Autumn is SO here right now in Alaska.  The leaves are changing and falling, the nights are cooling down, and the air just smells and feels like fall.

I'm loving it, and really wanted to bring the fall feeling into my house.  So I decided to take the challenge from Chic on a Shoestring
Chic on a Shoestring Decorating

The kids and I headed to JoAnns this morning for some inspiration and a few little things to get my project going.  I'll share those new purchases later when the display is done.

First up, I made up a Bay Leaf Wreath a'la Brandi at Don't Disturb This Groove

I had some sweet helpers for this one

Mine isn't NEARLY as pretty as hers (it is SO one dimensional looking), but considering the time problem I have due to this darling, but oh so fussy girl, I'll call it an okay job
Kinda fun right?  I added some fake creamy toned berries and a sweet button as an accent

I'm working on "fall-ifying" up my house this week.  What are you up to?  Oh, by the way, does anyone know how to easily remove spray adhesive from your hands?  Every time I touch something, it's like velcro!

  1. I saw Brandi's wreath too - and I say you did a great job! I love seeing different people's interpretation of the same idea. I like the way different people bring their own special touch.

How are you getting on, my love? Thinking of you over there,

  2. What a darling wreath! I'm glad people like you share these ideas for uncreative-but-good-copier people like me.
