Well, it's done for the most part. I really need to get a wreath for my front door, but that will come eventually when I find one I can afford.
We got home from Anchorage last night. We'd been gone for 5 days and I had a ton of mail. One of the oh, so cool things I had was a banner I WON from A Knick of Time . Angie's blog is just fun to read, and if you haven't checked it out yet, you should! She has fun tips and tricks of the trade for junking and found things. Her store is just lovely, and this won't be the last thing I get from her. But I do LOVE that it was free. It's so much fun to win something!!
I love it! The banner just completed my "mantle" type area. Gorgeousness!
My husband was rather dismayed that I had it done on Bible pages, so next time I'll do it on a vintage book instead of "ruining" the Bible. I considered it recyling God's Word, but Mr. Blooming doesn't feel that way, haha. Btw, I will tell you now that the name Mr. Blooming couldn't be a worse representation of his personality. So because it's so ridiculous, that's what I'm calling him from now on. ♥

After the Banner:
The little details:
Teeny harvest themed ornaments
A styrofoam ball turned moss ball (lots of adhesive spray)
A little pumpkin, some berries and a piece of driftwood my kids love (they think it looks like an alligator)
A fun birdcage I bought for $6 from our local store. I'm imagining this will be painted a few different colors in the coming years
Some branches from our birch trees
And that completes my fall themed post. I just love this season. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

Hi Miranda,
ReplyDeleteLove your banner and tabletop vignette! The page banner is such a quick fun idea!! Love it, and I am now following along:-)
Bella
I found your blog thru Homemade Alaska. My husband is also military. We were stationed in Anchorage for 6 years. We now live in Tehachapi, California an hour from Edward AFB I really miss Alaska. One of the goods thing about the banner is when people look at it, they have to see God's word. Hopefully it will inspier them to read it. The Banner is a great ideal and it looks great.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I just love the Fall! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jill
Thanks for following Renee and Bella!!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I appreciate your kind words. Alaska is an interesting place for sure. I think I prefer Anchorage to Fairbanks, but we're definitely getting the real alaskan experience here :)
You're right, the banner makes it picture perfect!
