I haven't been able to get much done in the decorating arena this week. I am tired and need to get to the chiropractor for an adjustment. It helps me sleep so much better! I've also been baking a lot, which doesn't leave a lot of time in the day left for decor work. My family is really enjoying the extra effort though.
One of the other things that takes up my time is a side job I have of typing for an appraisal company. I don't usually start typing until the family has gone to bed and all is quiet, so I typically start my work after 10:30pm. Some nights this week have had me up until 3am. I often pass the time watching soap opera reruns since they don't require much attention and I can just listen. But recently I rented a couple of BBC series that have been so much fun to watch!
My favorite one so far is Lark Rise to Candleford. I love historical settings in fictional stories and this one doesn't disappoint. It's fascinating to learn all about the way things used to be. The division in classes and the plight of the poor vs the privilege and constraints of the wealthy. And the settings!! Gorgeous.
You must spend some extra time with BBC. I know I'm enjoying it immensely!
I saw this series on Netflix, I loved it. I have watched oh so many series like this mostly all British made and love them.
ReplyDeleteI believe there is much to be said about the fashions of yesterday. I do enjoy BBC - My aunt watches the BBC for their Mystery hour. I used to stay up until 3:00 am - now it's more like 1:00 am
