 Synopsis:
When Meg Cole's father dies unexpectedly, she's forced to return home to Texas and to Whispering Creek Ranch to take up the reins of his empire. The last thing she has the patience or the sanity to deal with? Her father's Thoroughbred racehorse farm. She gives its manager, Bo Porter, six months to close the place down.

Bo knows he ought to resent the woman who's determined to take from him the only job he ever wanted. But instead of anger, Meg evokes within him a profound desire to protect. The more time he spends with her, the more he longs to overcome every obstacle that separates them and earn her love.

Just when Meg realizes she can no longer deny the depth of her feelings for Bo, their fragile bond is broken by a force from Meg's past. Can their relationship--and their belief that God can work through every circumstance--survive?

My Review:

I don't normally like modern day romance novels, but this one more than fulfilled my preferences for a good book;  A likable heroin, good friends and a noble boyfriend.

Meg is an independent woman with her Father's wealth at her fingertips, yet she struggles with her own self worth.  Bo is a man that is secure in who he is and what he wants to do with his life.  When they meet, their connection is strong and his desire to protect and care for Meg overtakes his hope for his future.  Through Bo and her consistent time with God, Meg is a able to become strong and confident.

I really liked how Meg rarely showed her insecurity to anyone.  She is a strong woman, even though she doesn't know it yet.  While her faith is consistently tested, she is firm in her beliefs and doesn't compromise.  I appreciated that the author doesn't gloss over the physical attraction and how big of a role that plays in a relationship, a feature that is often missing in Christian romance novels.

The additional characters around Bo and Meg were charming and added a lot of depth to the story.  The small amount of danger from Meg's ex-husband was mostly believable and added nicely to the plot.

This is an author I look forward to reading more of in the future.  I highly recommend Undeniably Yours by Becky Wade

In exchange for my honest review, I received a copy of the book from Bethany House
