This is the 2nd of 5 redo projects in our master Bathroom.
See part 1 here
These started out as wine bottles. Dave likes to drink a glass of red wine with dinner a couple of nights a week, so I just had him choose the same brand for a while :)
When the wine is all consumed, wash the bottle and remove the label. The color of this particular brand is a lovely green and I love the simple shape.
All this project takes is a hot glue gun and jute string
Wrap the string around the neck of each bottle a few times until it looks right. Dab a bead of glue at the start and end of the string. After they're all done, wrap the jute several times around the whole group of them (keep it nice and tight so they're easy to move around for cleaning and rearranging).
They fit right in the corner of the bathtub, adding much needed color and style to an otherwise unused space
They have a bit of a Pottery Barn flair.
This is fun and simple 5 minute project that is FREE. Don't just recycle those glass bottles, reuse them!
Hi lovely,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! And so simple too! I think there's nothing that jute string can't cheer up!!
How are you getting on with all your little ones?

ReplyDeleteThe picture of a single bottle looks like the bottle where a genie lives, Miranda! :P Well, glass bottles can actually form the base of numerous crafts and practical household items like hummingbird feeders and candle holders. The possibilities are endless!
