My parents and couple of good naps from little Lydia were just what I needed to complete the redo of our coffee table.
I used chalk paint this time, but for this project I should have used regular paint since I ended up using clear poly for the sealer to help with the sturdiness of the piece. I also used poly because I didn't care for the aged look the wax gave this piece. Oh well, live and learn. I did really like using the chalk paint, it just wasn't helpful for this project. I also ended up with a lot of brush marks since it dries so fast.
It distresses really well
Here is the before:
And the stock photo
My parents re-upholstered the 4 wedge stools that fit underneath the table. They did a fantastic job.
I adore the fabric
Then I added the stencil in a charcoal acrylic paint
All finished!
What do you think? I'll do the living room reveal in a couple of weeks when I get the rest of my projects finished up.
Wow! this is exquisite! Love the end result - did you have clear wax? I have enjoyed it myself -
