Nightstands...what color?

Here are the nightstands for my bedroom.  The wood color isn't my style, (though the striping looks pretty neat), but even if I loved it, they came from a scratch and dent warehouse sale, so they have to be painted.

Isn't the hardware pretty? I love it. 

So, if it were you, with gray walls and white bedding...what would you paint these?

I'm leaning towards white or maybe even a rustic aqua. 

They'll be paired with this bed (made with white bedding of course, this is not my photo)

And a close up of the bed color shown here in the matching dresser.  At some point, both of these items may be painted a distressed white
