A better day today

Thank the Lord.  Today was much better than the last week has been.  I tore the hotel room apart and cleaned it as best I could with dusters and disinfectant wipes.  No vacuum to be had, but I'll have the cleaning lady do a quick one tomorrow.

The kids seemed more settled today, more themselves.  Less fighting, more smiles, less noisy...just the way I like 'em.  Isn't that the way, since I posted a depressing picture of how things are going, life would look up today?

I got a good workout in at the hotel gym, which isn't too bad.  It even has free weights, a ball and a bench!  I also got a Venti yummy mocha from the base pseudo-Starbucks.  And the laundry is done (8 loads so far this week).  It's the little things.  I think some of the relief is knowing we only have a few more days left in the hotel.  There's a light at the end of the tunnel and I think I'm starting to see it!

A couple of not so great pics from my cell phone.  The kids play in a big field at the base while we wait for the laundry to get done.  I don't have a good one of Adin, but these were kinda cute of the other 3.

The new small camera I had to buy is prepped and ready for pics this weekend of the awesome Airshow.  I can't wait.  Every plane imaginable is going to be there.  It's supposed to be good!  Adin and Dave are so excited.  I'll be posting some pics for sure.

By the way, to my parents or in-laws that are reading these posts.  DO NOT WORRY.  This is my place to vent.  I am dealing with this craziness, we all are.  But I need somewhere to vent.  Dave is does not need to hear my frequent frustrations.  That's why I started the blog here.  So please, take the words with a grain of salt.  God has us in the palm of his hand.  Let him take my stress.  You don't need to :)  Love ya!

  1. Glad you had a better day. What is it about cleaning the room and getting the laundry done that seems to put a brighter out look on things. We stayed about 2 months at the coast with Jason in a little hotel type room and the best days were the ones that either began or ended with a clean(er) room and laundry done =) It really is the simple things =) You guys are doing great!
