I finished up Laundry Room/Pantry space today. I'm really happy about how it came out overall. I wish it could all look pretty and perfect, but it's real and functional.
It's a small space, being only 8x5, and I had a small budget, but I think it came out well.
Here is the before picture from the seller:
And the After (oops, I should have taken the laundry out of the dryer for beauty's sake!):
I just got these baskets from JoAnn's. Perfect for the top of the cabinet
And my vintage enamelware lidded stockpot. It's not usable for cooking, but I love it so much, it actually made it through my purge when we moved
I got this basket and flowers from Joann's also, I just thought they went well together. I may not have real flowers right now, but this is a good substitute
The paint color is Oyster Bay, which is a blue/green/gray tone. We used it in both bathrooms and the laundry room
The changes we made:
Replaced the old nasty sink with a nicer looking white sink kit.
Centered the cabinet on the wall.
Centered the cabinet on the wall.
Removed the formica countertop from the opposite wall to make room for the "pantry" shelving unit.
The pantry shelves have been lined with a pretty green contact paper to brighten up the space. My jars and storage pieces are still waiting for me to find time to add these chalkboard labels to them
I canned some applesauce this weekend, and I love seeing it on my pretty shelves
I got these office trays from Wal-Mart to help store misc items (candy, snacks, seasonings, etc...) I couldn't find any affordable baskets that would fit in here, so for now, these will do.
What do you think? Thanks for looking at my Laundry Room!
